About This Webinar
Rational Living Therapy (RLT) is a very instructive, systematic form of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. RLT is based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Rational Behavior Therapy (RBT), Cognitive Therapy (Beck), Neuro-linguistic Programming, Hypnosis Theory and Therapy (Preston), research findings in perception, linguistics, brain functioning, operant conditioning, classical conditioning, social learning, and general semantics.
The Rational Living Therapy Level-Two Certification Home Study Program covers:
Personality Disorders, including the Basic Premises of RLT Treatment of Personality Disorders,
How to Engage the Client Depending on His / Her Personality Characteristics, How to Encourage Collaboration, The Common Underlying Assumptions Associated with the various Personality Disorders, Techniques for Pattern Analysis, Techniques for Pattern Change, Techniques that encourage Pattern Maintenance.
Trainees also learn Advanced “Underlying Assumptions (Core Beliefs or Schemas)” Therapy,
Various Methods to uncover underlying assumptions, including the “downward” or vertical arrow technique, Underlying Belief Structual Qualities, Continuum of Underlying Belief Change, and the
Successive Approximation of Thought Acquisitiontm Technique (SATA).
Advanced Cognitive Modification Skills learned include Soft Countering Techniques, Hard Countering Techniques, Objective countering techniques.
Attendees learn advanced Application to Mood / Anxiety Disorders. They learn How to Apply Rational Living Therapy to problems of Depression and Anxiety, including “Major Depression,” “Dysthymia,” “Panic Disorder,” “Agoraphobia,” “Specific Phobias,” and “Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.”
To be certified, a person must possess at least a Masters degree (or be a graduate student) in a mental health profession. For those who do not meet that criterion, a paraprofessional certification can be granted. Also, trainees must successfully complete the RLT Level-One Certification training to be eligible for this training.

3. RLT Treatment of “Personality Disorders”
* Engagement techniques to encourage the client to be involved in treatment.

* Pattern Analysis Techniques
* Underlying Assumptions that are characteristic of the various “personality disorders”
* Pattern Change Techniques

5. Advanced Disputing / Countering Techniques

Attendees will learn a variety of advanced techniques to encourage cognitive change, therefore creating change in emotions and behavior

6. Advanced Understanding of Logical Fallacies
* Attendees will learn how to recognize and correct scientific, pseudoscientific, logical, and psychological problems in thinking.
7. Mood Disorders Treatment
Attendees will learn advanced RLT techniques to help clients overcome problems with depression.
8. Anxiety Disorders Treatment
Attendees will learn advanced techniques to help clients overcome anxiety, phobias, panic, agoraphobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

About the Presenter
Dr. ALDO R. PUCCI, is President of the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. Dr. Pucci was trained in Rational Behavior Therapy by its originator, internationally acclaimed psychiatrist Maxie C. Maultsby, Jr., MD. Dr. Pucci then went on to develop his own form of CBT known as “Rational Living Therapy.” He has trained thousands of mental health clinicians and has presented his workshops and certification seminars on Rational Living Therapy and Rational Hypnotherapy throughout the United States. Dr. Pucci’s seminars receive rave reviews. He holds the titles of Diplomate in Psychotherapy (The International Academy of Behavioral Medicine, Counseling and Psychotherapy), Diplomate in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (NACBT), Certified Medical Hypnotherapist (Institute of Medical Hypnosis), and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (National Board for Hypnotherapy and Hypnotic Anesthesiology).
