After many years of being both authorized providers of mental health continuing education credits (psychology, counseling, social work), as well as co-sponsors of CEs, the NACBT has decided to no longer associate itself with the APA, ASWB, ACA, and other such organizations. Therefore, we will no longer provide, directly or indirectly, continuing education credits for our trainings from these organizations. We are happy to provide a certificate of attendance.
It is our opinion that these organizations’ approval processes are not only unnecessarily burdensome, they are largely irrelevant to the provision of high-quality, informative mental health seminars, workshops, webinars, and self-study programs.
We applaud those professionals who seek to be in the best position to help their clients and, therefore, commit to studying even if CEs are not offered. Their clients will reap the benefits from such an attitude.
We will continue to provide excellent live trainings in various formats as well as our self-study programs.
