The NACBT is for everyone -- those professionals already skilled at cognitive behavioral therapy and people who are complete novices.

If you have any questions about the NACBT that our web site does not answer for you, be certain to send us a email or call us at our toll-free number.

Finally, the mental health profession is placing an emphasis on evidence-based, best practice psychotherapy.  Does psychotherapy really work?  Is a particular approach to psychotherapy effective in helping people change the way they feel and behave?

Because cognitive-behavioral therapy encourages the development of concrete, specific goals and has specific, testable techniques, it is an approach to counseling and psychotherapy that is easily researched.  It is the most researched psychotherapeutic approach, and, therefore, the most "Evidence-Based".

Mental health professionals who practice cognitive-behavioral therapy tend to be scientific-minded.  They are drawn to pursuing evidence and science.  They want to utilize an approach that has proof that it works.

Once again, welcome to our corner of the Internet!
